Meet Pastor Rich
I am currently the lead Pastor at Lifesong, finishing up my Masters in Divinity at Fuller Seminary, and (most importantly) I am a Husband to Kristin, and the proud Father of our two kids (3 years, and 7 months).
My role as Pastor at Lifesong is to empower our people to use their gifts, find ways we can serve in our community, and to help discern where God is leading us as we grow in our faith and discipleship.
Other Random Facts about Me:
- Favorite Music: Jack Johnson, Matt Kearney, Coldplay, Dave Crowder Band, and of course, U2...
- Favorite Movies: Schindler's List, Rattle and Hum (more U2), The Matrix, Prince of Egypt, Field of Dreams, Waking Life, I Heart Huckabees. (I can't believe I confessed to liking Field of Dreams...)
- TV Shows: The Office, House, Heroes, The Deadliest Catch (don't worry, it's about crab fishing...)
- Books: The Divine Conspiracy. The best book I have ever read by far...
- Hobbies: I love to ride road bikes, play guitar, read, and spend time with family and friends. I'm currently preparing to ride in the Arthritis Foundation's Amgen California Coast Classic in October, a 500-mile, eight-day bicycle ride from San Francisco to Los Angeles.
- How I became a Pastor: I served at Bible camps through college, spent 6 years in Youth Ministry, was the Program Director at a Bible Camp for 2 years, and then God decided to start a church while I was still in Seminary getting my Masters.
Lifesong was recently highlighted in the Thousand Oaks Acorn newspaper. Check it out to learn more about me, our church, and what we are doing in the community http://www.toacorn.com/news/2007/0712/Faith/064.html. If you would like to find out more about Lifesong, or want to chat about any or all of the above, just send an email to http://www.info@lifesongchristiancommunities.org/.
Thanks, Rich
