An Introduction...

Lifesong Christian Communities started just about 2 years ago as two ordinary people felt an irresistable call to start a church.  They had no money, no religious organization to partner with, no Pastor, and no special training.  Over the last year, God has brought me (Rich) here to be the Pastor at Lifesong, we have been supported through the LCMC (Lutheran Congregations in Mission through Christ), and we have already started to give back in time and finances to our neighbors.  We are currently made up of about fifteen committed families.  Each individual is (of course) unique; we have single Moms, college students, business owners, professionals who are just experiencing the proverbial empty nest, and young families with kids of all ages. 

We have tried to make this website easy to read and approachable, but talking about God can be heavy stuff, and there may be sections that are confusing or unclear.  If you have a question, I would love to talk with you about it through email or the phone.  Thanks for checking out our website!

Lifesong Vision

"Offering our everyday lives to reflect the love of Christ in the Conejo Valley"

This vision is accomplished through the grace of God as we strive to Believe, Belong, and Become. These three components are not separate goals to accomplish, but an inter-dependent process with each area growing as we continue our faith journey: 

 We Believe in God - We trust God.  We trust Jesus.  We trust that the Bible is the true story of God working in human history, and that Jesus is truthfully revealed in the bible.

Our Belief leads to Belonging -  We believe that faith spreads through genuine friendships and a strong sense of community.  We believe that God exists as community in the form of the Trinity (Father, Son, and Spirit), and that God is working in the Church to build a community that lives the love present in the Triune God.

This, in turn, leads to a heart for Becoming faithful Christians by worshipping God with our everyday life.  This is evident through serving a neighbor, feeding the poor, welcoming a stranger...  As these acts of service ripple outward, our own beliefs are strengthened and our prayer is that more people may come to know Christ.

• The identification, building up, and use of Spiritual Gifts of each believer to serve the Kingdom as equal partners in ministry

Lutheran Congregations in Mission for Christ (LCMC)

Lifesong Christian Communities is affiliated with the Lutheran Congregations in Mission for Christ (LCMC).  The LCMC is a post-denominational association of congregations and individuals who are:

• free in Christ
• accountable to one another
• rooted in the Scriptures and the Lutheran Confessions
• working together to fulfill Christ's Great Commission to go and make disciples of all nations.
